I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

Once that is sorted, give us a ring, whatever the day or time is. We will be with you shortly to resolve the problem.

While you wait for our emergency plumber, remove any important things, mop up any water, and position a bucket to catch drips. You also should turn off the hot water heating if the main water is turned off.

Help, I don’t know where the main water shutoff valve is!

You may have been shown it as a stopcock, isolating valve or toby. This valve is normally located on the boundary near the road, usually under a blue or black plastic cover.
